The message of New Testament Christianity is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus for the salvation of humanity. Those who have put on Christ have accepted God's love through His Son. Collectively, the called out are the Church.
Harbinger Theological Seminary trains theologians to preach the gospel to a lost and dying world and to educate the Church through a contextual missionary mind. The term "harbinger" means to go ahead as a forerunner. "Theological" refers to the study of the teachings related to God. "Seminary" refers to the seed that is planted to bring forth life. Our work is to train Christians to think deeper about the ideas of God. Through formal education, we prepare scholar-practitioners who strengthen the foundation of truth for this and generations to come.
Harbinger Theological Seminary was formally launched in 2020 by the leadership of the Nashville Church of Christ and is a ministry of the local Church. The Seminary is committed to continuing the legacy of the Restoration Movement in the Churches of Christ. The Nashville Church of Christ will soon celebrate 100-years of ministry in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, a ministry that began in 1925.
Our foundational belief is that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God. This ministry of the Church is centered on teaching the truth found in Sacred Scripture, the Holy Bible, for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God.
Welcome to Harbinger Theological Seminary. We look forward to hearing from you.
